So, it is no wonder apple cider vinegar is a time-honored remedy for those who want to retain vitality and good health well into old age. Through the ages it has been prescribed as an aid in maintaining health, preventing disease, controlling weight, easing coughs, colds and breathing difficulties, and settling disturbed digestive system.
Because old-time remedies (such as here) are handed down, over generations, changes occur, but the common them is: some small amounts of apple cider vinegar, taken each day, somehow brings better health and longer life. (Remember these are only folk remedies not scientifically proven cures!)
Remedy 1
Simply add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (with the mother. explaination. The modern methods of producing apple cider vinegar removes the cloudy sediments, which is called the mother. Purchase from a health food store.) to a full glass of water and drink it down.
Remedy 2
The way to stay healthy and alert, well into old age, is to combine 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of honey, and a full glass of water. Take 3 times a day, 1/2 hour before meals.
Remedy 3
For a long, vigorous life, filled with robust good health, sip a vinegar tonic, slowly before each meal. Mix together and begin drinking immediately: 1 cup of warm water, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey.
Remedy 4
The most palatable way to daily dose is to add a small dollop of clover honey to a tablespoon of vinegar and a teaspoon of olive oil. Mix it all together and drip over a small salad or greens.
